Edit Me Challenge Week 7
The Recipe: After downloading Rosie's wonderful picture of a Scottish castle from the Leaves 'n Bloom Studio, (thanks Rosie) I added the screen blend mode, then duplicated that layer for an even lighter effect. Played with the neon glow filter as well as the render lens flare filter.
Pulled one of my favorite textures - artist- from Pixel Dust Photo Art, duplicated the artist texture layer a couple of times to intensify it even more, then applied the multiply and soft light blend modes at 100% opacity.
It's a visual treat to see the twists others put on this spectacular picture. Join me at Edit Me 2012 - Week 7.

Absolutely Amazing, Marty! The photo actually took my mind to the WWII era for some reason. Your edit gave me a peace from the devesation I had originally associated with that time. Talented... Very nice, thank you.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rodney and may peace always be with you.
DeleteI love what you did with this Marty!
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful.
Thank you Lisa, a fabulous picture to work with!
DeleteNice editing...reminds me of a picture that would be in a fairy tale book.
ReplyDeleteKathy
I thought so too Kathy....I love this texture from the pixel!
DeleteI love the texture over it..
ReplyDeleteSuch a great picture to play with....starting out with the filters, then texture.
DeleteMarty - way over my head but BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteOh, Ginger, once you get started, it's easy....I'll teach you!
DeleteI love the coloring on the photo, and the texture gives it such a distinctive look!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fascinating creative edit! I enjoyed this one very much!
ReplyDeleteThank you Branson....I loved working with Rosie's picture. Thanks so much for choosing her as your guest host this week.
DeleteGreat edit. Love the texture!
ReplyDeleteThanks Chelsea....I enjoy all of the pixel dust textures....they add a wow factor!
DeleteBeautiful, and each time I see some of your work I think, I must learn how to do this. And then I look at the pile of library books sitting on the floor, all on photography. And then I see the other work that still needs to be done...and I just turn back to your photos. Because it's easier to look at your photos right now, then to have to dive into another project.
ReplyDeleteThey are inspiring, and beautiful.

DeleteThis is art! Very very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love the "otherworldly" effect you achieved here - wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI love the 'darkness of this", and it brings out the history of the building.
