I can see clearly now

in spite of the fog ~

a picture out the car window on a recent road trip - I wasn't driving, so I could see clearly

In Photoshop:  The Recipe
Without altering the image, I duplicated it
applied Lens Flare filter - movie prime.
With soft light blend mode and opacity adjusted to my satisfaction.

Same picture, same filter
Screen blend mode
Opacity adjusted.

Now, back to the original picture
with Color Burn blend mode.

It's all in how you see it ~
Live within a fog or outside of it ~
If you happen to be in a fog, enjoy the moment!

Lobster boats coming in at the end of the day:  Theresa's original picture.
Theresa and her family had a delightful 2012 vacation in and around the Northeastern United States and Canada.  This is just one of the many pictures she shared in her Facebook album.  While I had fun in Photoshop this morning,  at the end of the day the original picture of the lobster boats coming in is the best ever.

Isn't she a lovely.....

...Little Abbi Girl

The process:  In Photoshop, start with a new blank file...white background.

Pulled Abbi's photo from my album and erased some of the 'stuff'.  Played around with the lens flare filter to
 further de-emphasize her surroundings.

layered Abbi's  altered picture in the blank file

Pulled this picture from my albums and layered it on top of Abbi's picture.  Adjusted opacity...erased the flowers from her face.  Now isn't she a lovely in the flower garden.....

Playing with Grunge

Nancy Donaldson.....aka All Pulped Out....makes grunge textures and I like every one of them.

Here are the cats with Nancy's Grunge No. 10.  Nancy makes them free to use, so go get your own.
My use of Nancy's  textures aren't quite as flamboyant as hers.....but

After Grunge No. 10 application

I'm enjoying the subtle blue coloration the texture is giving to the picture.

Before Grunge No. 10 application

I just wanted the hoola-hoops around the neck of the horse!  It was a combined effort.....to get these before and after's completed:  and while I was working, the rain started....but frankly, Charlotte, I really don't ......

Be creative: it may be the sign of the times

A sign of the times:  Be creative!  Cite-Creations dot french

While browsing through my picture album "Quebec 2010" I ran across this sign:

and

then decided to go to the www cite that was on the building sign and sure enough, there is such a site and they do create murals:

on large buildings

beautiful

so that's what prompted me to be just a little photoshop creative this morning
by first taking the picture,

 transforming it just a tad,

adding a radlab photo action (or two),

then a final touch.....
a jerry jones tree brush barely made it on the left!

I wish
I had
more
hours
in my day.....to play
