{Texture Tuesday} The Posie eDition

One of my favorite balconies in Italy....in a village on Lake Orta....not large enough for seating, but plenty spacious for flowers in bloom.   With the open window...talking, music, laughter, raucous good cheer, scents of good food... from below.....oh, the joy of.

Textured with Kim Klassen's 10.10.10 and shared with Texture Tuesday

{Texture Tuesday} The Little Things eDition

My Easter cards this year were quite the hit with the little ones in my family so I decided I would continue into the week after and expose Mr. Bunny Whiskers to Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday....you see, the theme this week is the little things.  Kim and I agree....it's the little things that give me the greatest joy....a little voice on the phone saying 'I love you, Aunt Mart', the kiss blown across the pillow from him to me and me to him each night, the 'whatcha doing?' question each morning just to let me know he cares.    These little things add up to  mountains of love and memories.

{Texture Tuesday} Oh So Soft eDition

Sense:  Touch....soft - smooth or delicate

Mood:  You have to know when to be arrogrant.  You have to know when to be humble.  You have to know when to be hard and you have to know when to be soft.

{Texture Tuesday} The Pink eDition

Too beautiful to stay inside....me and the bumblebees are buzzing.  Pink is everywhere in my back garden....roses, dianthus, clematis and Japanese magnolia. But I ultimately decided that the flowering crab apple with Kim Klassen textures, grayday and be still touched up with vivid light blend was my "pink edition" favorite.

Day 9 of The Twelve Days of Textures

I took a moment to add Lola to this picture for an easy completion of Day 9 of The Twelve Days of Texture.

Here's where I started!  Downtown Monroe - original Frances Hotel, now retirement housing renamed Frances Towers.....still a grand old lady.  I don't know why it's for old folks...there are no grocery stores down there anymore.  Quite a walk for the lame!  Not meaning to imply that old folks are lame.....but!  they are, aren't they?  Perhaps it takes one to know one!

Day 7 of The Twelve Days of Textures

A picture from May, 2011, out of Umbria, Italy, was ideal to enhance with Kim's Day 7 of The Twelve Days of Texture  Wonderful MagicWhile on this magical vacation, I loved the way every building and every street corner was filled with light from beautiful lanterns.  Oh, the magic of light!

Day 6 of The Twelve Days of Texture

My reasoning went something like this:  I needed to print a receipe on how to roast pecans.  I needed to participate in Kim Klassen's Day 6 of The Twelve Days of Texture using her more magic texture.

I found a picture I had taken last week at a local pecan orchard of bags filled with 100 pounds of  just-picked pecans. So I simply layered Kim's texture over my picture, used the screen blend mode, adjusted opacity, layered with solid white color and adjusted opacity again to my liking....typed the recipe and printed my card then posted to Kim's linky!

Day 4 of The Twelve Days of Textures

Edward is Kim's texture choice for day 4 of the twelve days of textures.
It took a lot of searching, but I finally found the picture that Edward made picture perfect!
Also added to Lisa Gordon's The Creative Exchange.
From whence it came:  The HuMan doesn't even pretend to slow down while driving!  I get 'em on the run - occasionally missing what I want to shoot - in this case, the white house.  I think I didn't click quickly enough.  I'm just making the most of what my HuMan allows:::::I'm not sad....if I had gotten the house, I would have  missed the trees and sky and the perfect opportunity to play this morning making something out of nothing!

cropped (C) and re-sized (CTRL T)

I'll use this stretched version in a later playday!

She may be the feature of  The RED eDition, but she's definitely in the pink!   Quite by accident: as most things around me are:  I caught a shot of all these feet....made my photography day!
